For a year, in 2024, I drew a self-portrait every day accompanied by a text. With the writings, I was mainly interested in the impact of digital consumption (social media, mobile phone and computer) on my relationships and myself.
“Et j’ai failli pleurer” is a project that unfolded throughout an entire week —sixty hours— of being present in the gallery space. During this exhibition, I was creating everyday in the installation, using the 2024 portraits as an inspiration: typing the texts on the typewriter or printing the portraits(monotype).
Pendant toute une année, j'ai dessiné un autoportrait quotidiennement, avec un texte l'accompagnant. À travers mes écrit, je m'intéressais tout particulièrement à l'impact de la consommation digitale (réseaux sociaux, cellulaire et ordinateur) sur ma relation à l'autre et à moi.
“Et j’ai failli pleurer” est un projet pendant lequel j'ai passé soixante heures en galerie. Pendant cette exposition, je créais tous les jours, inspiré⋅e du projet d'autoportraits cité plus haut. Je tapais les textes à la machine à écrire et j'utilisais le monotype pour imprimer les portraits. À travers cette exploration de l'année qui a passé, je laissais les lieux, le public, la fatigue influencer le travail artistique.
